Across all of our campuses, The House, Inc. advances its model of youth-led leadership by investing in those who walked our halls and now return to shape what’s next. Through the Mayor Marion S. Barry Summer Youth Employment Program, we welcomed our latest cohort of alumni interns, known as the A-Team. This summer job was not simply a placement; it was a platform. These doers didn’t just join the mission of The House, Inc., they moved it forward.
Now, in our 20th year, the model of hiring alumni into our organizational chart is The House, Inc.’s long-standing commitment to the mission transfer, and building futures where lived experiences drive mission impact.
